Battle against the Enemy: Understanding Satan's Strategy (Part IX)
Topic: Spiritual War

And it came to pass in an eveningtide, that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king’s house: and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon. And David sent and inquired after the woman. And one said, Is not this Bath-sheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite? And David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him, and he lay with her; for she was purified from her uncleanness: and she returned unto her house. And the woman conceived, and sent and told David, and said, I am with child. (II Samuel 11:2-5 KJV)

In the previous message, we learned that King David decided to let armies go to the battle by themselves and decided to be relaxed in his palace. Without thinking, King David decided to look at a woman who bathe herself by next to his side of palace. Then David began to ask his one of servants who she is. "Do you know who is that woman by my room window?"

The servant said, "She is Bathsheba, a wife of Uriah of Hattie."

David said to his servant, "Bring this woman to me."

Servant said, "Yes, majesty."

What David had done? Rather than leading his armies to the battlefield, he was playing the love connection with the foreign woman. As you read the rest of Chapter 11 in II Samuel, he committed most of great sin that he ever done. David committed murder, thief, and adultery. Uriah was a faithful man, but David's act caused him to lose his life.

How is your relationship with Jesus Christ? Do you wonder off? Satan loves this, because you are giving a signal for him to messing around with your life. He will be playing with your mind just as he did to King David. We see that today's children learn that practicing a magic is okay, even though there is a  dark side out of it.

Do you have your personal relationship with His Son, Jesus? God didn't bring His Son to the earth, so that he can clean our sins off. No, no. Jesus did on the calvary, so that He can have relationships with us. He did not deserve to die for our sins, but He did. Now, it is up to us to respond to Him. I'm not going to spell out the sinner prayer, because it is not sincere prayer to Him. We must spend our time with Him on a daily basis. Don't just watch or listen to preachers on the TV/radio, but spend our own time to have a quality time with God through reading His words and prayer. If you'd want extra affect, put the worship music on. Whatever you do, do it for God. Your quality time with God also can make shield, so that Satan and all the negative things cannot enter to your mind.
