Battle against the Enemy: Understanding Satan's Strategy (Part VIII)
And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth to battle, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried still at Jerusalem. (II Samuel 11:1 KJV)

As a ruler of the land, king has to be busied to provide services to his people. Before he became a king, David always had been a provider for his family's sheep. He fought against the wild animals when they came for sheep. Also, he was a loyal servant, even though King Saul despised him due to jealousy. Although David thought to kill the first king of Israel, he had a second thought not to commit a murder to God's anointed one. He was a great warrior during the Saul's administration because God was with him. But David was also a liar and murder. As we read in II Samuel 11, he was to be in the battlefield with his armies. Instead, King David decided to send his armies to the battlefield and fight against the enemies alone. What kind of the leader is this? Lazy? Instead of leading armies, it wasn't time for him to be off guard.

King David decided to be alone in his palace in the middle of the war. Instead of fasting and praying for his soldiers, he just starred a woman at the window of his room. The KJV Life Application Study Bible puts in this way, "In the episode with Bathsheba, David allowed himself to fall deeper and deeper into sin." (II Samuel 11:1 Note.) Being off guard is a sign for an enemy to attack you, which is Satan. I believe that David opened his heart for Satan to mix around with him, which is dangerous thing to do.

Let's read II Samuel 11:2-4: "And it came to pass in an eveningtide, that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king’s house: and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon. And David sent and inquired after the woman. And one said, Is not this Bath-sheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite? And David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him, and he lay with her; for she was purified from her uncleanness: and she returned unto her house."

It would be alright for King David leads his armies to the battlefield or busy with God rather than just staring at the woman from his window. Not only his desire pull himself away from serving God, he committed a crime. He ordered for Uriah to be upfront at the battlefield, so that he can be killed. He wanted to hide the evidence, but he can't his act of sin from God. No! It's a big mistake for us to hide ourselves from God. Not only he jeopardized his relationship with God, he also jeopardized his kingship.

Look around what's going on with our government today. Since we let the one person took prayer out from the school, we turned this nation upside down. Instead of this nation to be greatest land, we turned this nation as the communist country. Nowadays, our government has been working so hard to shut conservatives down, starting with our former President Donald J. Trump.

We need to be steadfast for our nation, mostly our young people. Satan is using our government to lead children to go astray from the family value and God. We don't see them in the church, mostly smaller church. Why? They are looking for big stuff. Nowadays, some schools have Pride Day event or drag queen story hour. They are feeding them with unhealthy mindset that are not approved by their parents, except left wing government and media.

Does America is getting ready for the judgment of God? As we will be continuing looking at King David's life, he found a hard way to overcome his evil deeds. Let me ask you this: Do you have relationship with God? I'm not talking about inviting you into religious organization. There is different between having a relationship with God and joining into religious ritual. Religion spells DO. You have to do something in order to become closer to god. However, becoming a Christian, it is DONE. Why? Christ died for your sins and resurrected third day to be with us. You don't have to go to Catholic priest to ask God for forgiveness of your sins. Jesus Christ broke the wall gap, so that we can directly go into God's presence to ask for forgiveness of our sins.

Do you have your personal relationship with His Son, Jesus? God didn't bring His Son to the earth, so that he can clean our sins off. No, no. Jesus did on the calvary, so that He can have relationships with us. He did not deserve to die for our sins, but He did. Now, it is up to us to respond to Him. I'm not going to spell out the sinner prayer, because it is not sincere prayer to Him. We must spend our time with Him on a daily basis. Don't just watch or listen to preachers on the TV/radio, but spend our own time to have a quality time with God through reading His words and prayer. If you'd want extra affect, put the worship music on. Whatever you do, do it for God. Your quality time with God also can make shield, so that Satan and all the negative things cannot enter to your mind.
