Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die. But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips. (Job 2:9-10 KJV)
First time when Satan tried to tempt God's servant, Job, it didn't satisfy himself. Why? He tried to be above God as we read Isaiah 14. Again, as we read Job 2, Satan tried to revisit God to try to question God about his faithful servant Job's integrity. Again, God rechallenged Satan on Job's faithfulness. And, again, we see that God putted limitation for Satan to destroy Job's life. By now, Job is tired and may to commit suicide.
We already know some people have been decided to commit the suicide mission because there's no other dreams after they have been reached their destination. Making a multimillionaire doesn't bring people to satisfaction. Two comedians, Bob Saget and Robin Williams, decided to end their lives. So was Bruce Lee. Sadly, we see that many young people have decided to go to Hollywood to make themselves as multimillionaire before go to their deathbeds.
Satan's main goal is to destroy our lives, so that he can pull us away from God, who created the universe and this world. I don't think Job's wife didn't discourage him to curse at God for the problem. But Satan used her to bring him down (ex. See Matthew 16:22-23). Men of God, can you handle your wife's criticism? Unlike some of us, Job responded her back by questioning her why he curse at God. He didn't believe that God was not the problem of this tragedy. Our problems don't come from God, but our sins. Paul said in Roman 3:10-11, "There is none righteous, no, not one: there is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God."
We cannot overcome anything that Satan tried to tempt us without the help from the Almighty God. We need God. Young David said the battle is God's hands (See 1 Samuel 17). We cannot do anything to go through life obstacles unless God is on our side. Jesus said in John 5:5, "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing."
Throughout the book, Job faced several crises. But he didn't give up on trusting God. We cannot go through the battleground without relying on God. He is the source. Psalms 119:105 says , "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."
